the art party.
Bringing friends/family together in joie de vivre.
imprint the energy of a special evening together…
we will experience the “joie de vivre” of creating art to music on a large group canvas, approx.15 feet. in the spirit of pollak, we use turkey bastors, towels, movement, and color to imprint the energy of the evening onto canvas.
We will implement Catherine’s standard method of creation -
intention
play
harmony
The part where the initial energy is unleashed and imprinted onto the canvas is the most fun and suitable for the art party.
Disclaimer: This is not an art class.
Warning: canvas aprons provided to all guests to wear during event, but depending on how enthusiastic the guests become, one’s clothing may get painted. Although the paints are non-toxic, they do not wash out of textiles.
how it works.
1 Decide how many people will be involved and party location/time.
Often we work at sunset into magic hour which makes for great pictures.
Common locations include:
Napoli Art at Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii (Big Island)
a private residence where an open-air tent has been set up
inside a large tent on a secluded beach.
2 Catherine arrives onsite day of the party with premixed colors and prepped canvas rolls (after a conversation about about color palette, playlist (live or recorded) and canvas approximate sizes. )
3 The canvases are left overnight to dry, then folded up, and delivered to Napoli Art for stretching and completion after the event. The large canvases will be broken up into several smaller canvases and distributed to the guests. Ideally we will keep the largest canvases under largest canvas under 5’ wide by 9’ long. Canvases can be as small as desired.
*Cost varies depending on number of participants and size/quantity of canvases delivered after event.
